People Know How has been based in Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, Leith, for some months now. In June, we opened ‘The Community Space’ – a FREE resource for the use of the public, community groups, charities, and organisations. We’ve hosted a wide range of exhibitions, events, information and training sessions, meetings, and workshops. Already, it has become an effective way to bring people together to network and build community.
Over the 27th and 28th January (10am to 5pm) we will be launching and promoting the Community Space by hosting over 40 organisations who will have stalls in our marketplace. The event will feature talks from Edinburgh University, SMART Recovery, and Leith Lives, as well as a wide range of exciting activities ranging from break dancing courtesy of The State, a drama workshop organised by Grandram and even bike building thanks to RUTS.
